RecycleTech’s “Pack-it-Back” mail-in EPS recycling program is very simple:

Send your EPS scrap to us, we recycle it, (keeping it out of the landfill)
and then it is re-processed to make other products such as plastic picture
frames, sandals, CD/DVD jewel cases, and more...

Here is a 3-step guide on how you can be a part of it:

1. First things first: "Is my material acceptable?"

The classification system used on plastics encompasses a large number of resins, some of which are not compatible.

If your material is white and crumbly in nature, it’s acceptable for our program.
If your EPS is NOT white and crumbly, it cannot be recycled using this program.

2. Second things second: "I have EPS… What’s next?"

Once you’ve determined you have material we can take, just “Pack it back” into the box it came in. Remove all of the stretch-wrap and plastic bags that might have surrounded what you bought…we can’t take those! Also, please make sure that there are no stickers or labels on your EPS material. Those can present a HUGE problem with our EPS processing machinery.

3. Third things last: "How do I get it to you?"

Once you have your box repacked, make sure there are no other shipping labels on your box. If there are, please remove them or cover them with our label. If you use our label to cover another one, please ensure that it does so completely. Then bring your box to any post office and ship it to us:

IF YOU ARE JUST SHIPPING EPS: We recommend using Parcel Post, which will be the most economical way to do it.

IF YOU ARE SENDING EPS MIXED WITH MEDIA PRODUCTS: We recommend that you utilize Media Mail as it is the most economical way to ship.

When receive your package, we will recycle your material. Recycled EPS is then made into a variety of new products such as new CD/DVD cases, other packaging items, picture frames and a variety of plastic products.

Recyclable EPS sent using this program will not be sent to a landfill. Similarly, the media items that you send us will also be recycled or reused by one of our numerous partners.

Please Note: Packages that are delivered with insufficient postage will be returned to sender at the sender’s cost.
